  • Thank you for considering BBQ in the Park in your team's barbeque plans for the 2010 season. Are you ready to put your skills to the test?

    -Teams will be able to compete in four KCBS (Kansas City Barbeque Society) categories: Briskets, Chicken, Pork Ribs and Pork Shoulder/Butt. All teams will be expected to follow the 2010 KCBS Rules. Click Here to view or print the 2010 rules.

  • -This competition will be limited to the first 30 Teams.

  • -FREE Ice!

  • -Teams may enter all four categories for $150.00 (entry postmarked by June 15, 2010) Entry fee will be $175.00 if sent after June 15, 2010. No entries will be accepted after July 15, 2010.

  • -All teams will be provided a 20ft x 30ft space, with oversized accommodations available for $25 extra. Oversized spaces are 20ft x 40ft.

  • -Electricity will be available for $25.

  • -All entry forms and fees will be sent directly to the La Porte City Lions Club.

  • -All teams are asked to bring at least 1 paper grocery sack full of non-perishable food items and/or canned goods. These donations will be donated to local organizations working hard to assist local families in need.

  • -In addition to a 100% Prize Payout (minus sanctioning fees), the top five teams in each category will earn bragging rights by taking home impressive, unique awards.  ($1000 Grand Prize, $500 Reserve, $275 for each category, 3rd Place receives auto entry for 2011).
